Illinois Toll

Hey guys this is probably a stupid question but what do you need to pay the tolls on the interstates in the northern Illinois area do I need to bring a ton of quaters or cash or what? Thanks. Nick

Interstate tolls are now at . 80 cents per gate... I-90 from ORD airport equals 4 tolls. All the interstates in Northern Ill are tollways... I always hated that fact about that state and it is among the reasons that I moved from there when I was 22. .

No, coins are not required. The toll takers will gladly accept your paper currency and provide change. Your signature indicates you have a 2500 series truck so you won't have to pay the dual rear wheel premium.



Similar tolls are collected on i-80/90 across IN and OH as well.

. 80 cents, ill be heading to chicago next week i normally take about 10 bucks in change just so i can use the auto lanes and keep moving.

Whatever form you bring, better bring a lot of it. Course not as bad as Florida or Ohio !

There are some unmanned toll booth's west of ****tyaugo, that will take a ton of quarters, to exit off (Decalb, Rochelle,Rockford,etc. ). Pay yer toll, or they will take your picture & fine you!

Hehe, I've done that, their stupid unmanned collection box thinks they are dimes!
