Just scored the base machine off da Bay yesterday:

Wonder if I should stay with a 10HP or derate it down to 6HP? I'm thinking that the extra tourque should more than make up for the few ponies lost.

I agree you can decrease horsepower if you're going to diesel. It'll be a really cool project.

Don, Don, Don, what are we gonna do with you? You need to build a diesel powered go cart to bring to SOP! :-laf Oh all right, just make sure you bring it next year for it's "emissions" inspection!

If it doesn't have enough, we'll let GL tune it up! :-laf

Thanks! It might be a while before I really get into it because 1) I also have a Jeep project in progress 2)I also have a tractor with a blade to with, and 3) We haven't had much of a winter so far to warrant the need for any snow removal equipment.
