Ordered a new 2005 and had to sell my 2001. Six to eight weeks until the new one comes in.
Dealer offered me $21K trade, but I knew I could do better selling it myself. Asked $25k for it, and the first person I talked to bought it.
Now I have to get used to my 2001 being sold...
and wait for the new ride to get here.
This is for those of you that read about all the problems these trucks have and get concerned.
I owned my 2001 for over 4 1/2 years and it was almost perfect. Had to replace the lift pump at 20K and the pinion seals had to be replaced at about the same time (both items were covered under warranty), but other then that, I have had zero problems (no "death wobble" - fifth gear nut problems - computer problems - VP44 problems - leaks - or anything else).
If my new 2005 is as reliable, I will be more then satisfied...
