Ok I have a RASP this started 3-4 months back I was driving home fuel pressure dropped to 5 psi unless the RPMs were over 1700 then it would creep back up to 15 lbs. I drove strait home keeping the revs up. Replaced the filter that was not very old it seemed to help but pressure is very slow to come up after start up and cruising at any speed or RPM if I press the throttle to the floor the pressure would drop 3-4 lbs before coming back up and rising. Then it started stalling after start up and running for 25 to 40 sec. like it was out of fuel the filter housing is empty. Sometimes this happens after sitting for 5 min. and sometimes its ok for days. I have checked several times for leaks can't find any I have even put a detroit check valve in the feed line and tonight if was out of fuel no visible leaks. I have the line kit from Opoole I did order a new pressure regulator from dtt last night I am hopping that works just venting I guess. I sure would like to put those M 4s in ... any idea's will be appreciated... George

I don't have the experience of alot guys on TDR... ... . since no one has answered, I can only give a couple suggestions.

I once had the starting symptoms you are experiencing, loosing prime, running for a short time and quiting. I had just changed my stock ff and everytime I'd bump the starter 3 times, I could hear the fuel gurggling back to the tank with lots of air. I had changed the 'O' ring but, had not torqued the fuel cap to the 25 lbs. I thought it was tight enough by hand and was careful not to go too tight for fear of cracking the cap. It took several tries before I realized I needed to stop being lazy and get out the torque wrench and buy a 8 inch extention, and 1 1/8'' socket. It was amazing how much that plastic cap binds up making you think it's tight. After the 25 lbs of torque, it was fine.

Thanks I will check that the real strang thing is I replaced the crank sensor and it has been good for a couple of days I will let you know . after I replace the head gasket... George
