Watching my tracking from UPS for my Psychotty system would be here today so I took the afternoon off. #ad

I drilled the hole and then desided I would do some testing and then install the Psychotty tube and rerun the test. Here are the results.
On my test hill with just the RE-0880 in 4th at full throttle at 2750 RPMs the EGT went to 1300 + deg. before I lifted. The temp gauge in the truck showed 87 deg. outside temp. I returned home installed the Psychotty tube. getting the angle just right took me almost an hour. Re ran the same hill now the temp gauge in the truck shows 92 deg. and I was able to stay full throttle all the way to 3100 RPMs and shift to 5th and stay in it. The EGTs never got above 1200 deg stay right at approx. 1175 deg. #ad


I got home again and pull the AFC housing and moved the torque plate all the way forward. I reran the hill now the outside temp is 84 deg. and I'm right back where I started EGT wise right at about 2750 it climbs to 1300 + deg. With the #11 plate all the way forward there is a big seat of the pants power increase. I really thought the RE-0880 by itself had dropped the EGT some but not even close to what the Psychotty system does. #ad

Would you pls compare the intake & turbo noise in the cab for stock, RE-0880 & full install?

On the plate, TST sent me the wrong 230/605 plate, the #8. The #11 was not as good as the #8, so I had to move the #11 & housing all the way forward to beat it. You're right about the improvement by moving that #11 plate, big time. I'm putting the #8 back & all the way forward after the HX40x16 gets put in. Yeeeeha #ad

Forrest, the noise is less than just the RE-0880 filter overall, there is a hollow deep turbo whine that comes out the vents in the truck. Before I got a lot of looks every thing I got on it because the the major whine out side the truck the RE-0880 made. I think that the noise had scared off a couple of P*w*r Jokes. Now it is more stealthy. #ad

I think Horsemen posted about this earlier, early this morning going to a shooting match I was running w/o the fan on just letting the cowl supply the air to the cab. Getting on the freeway just getting into 4th I got on it and the air flow seemed to almost stop out of the vents. #ad

I also have about a 100 deg drop in my normal hi-way cruising. Normally cruising at 80 my EGT is around 700 deg and boost right at 8 psi. Now with the Psychotty system I am running at 600 deg and only about 5 psi, which if I can stay out of the throttle(hard to do) the milage should be better.

I'll be towing next week I will keep you guys updated.

I believe this to be a must for bombing to keep the EGT down. Or to put it another way it allows you to bomb more #ad
