24v to 12v 4.5L ISB?

Well since I done a trade for a 90's Camaro what would be the best motor mounts ?
I don't want to hack the car as if it don't work I can go find a 350 and call it done .
Any ideas ???? Thank You

350 would be the easiest and most practical, but a Cummins powered anything is a real head turner for sure!

Can it be done?? Yes!! People will stuff a Cummins engine in just about anything with wheels if they have the time and patience to do so.

I don't see any Powerstroke conversions for some reason :-laf:-laf Looking forward to seeing a build thread!

I better lock down the engine hatches on my boat with two 4BT150's! BTW, the are pretty heavy for a DD in a Camaro. There are other small diesel in the marine world that are rated to higher RPMS. The 2800 red line of the 4BT would be limiting. Snoking

A 4bt is the same as a 454 or less , what i would like to know is if the motor mounts for a 6bt will fit a 4bt , miy engine i have not plucked out yet and i cant see the ones on my skid steer

That isn't that much weight difference no worse than the guys running 427 Chevys , were did you find these figures ?

4BT weight is from Cummins, the 454 weights vary a lot across the internet. The marine exhaust manifold and other things make them weigh in a 1050-1100. Finding a 4BT250 marine engine with inline pump might be a better starting point for power. In gets most of the big boy 5.9 370 HP stuff in a 4 cylinder(better pistons I believe for one), but you would need an intercooler.

I wonder if there was a land based model with the inline pump?

yes, there is a fair amount in the mid 90s , mine has the ve pump , I do have a intercooler and if they would work have 1990 injectors the 160 versions
