Hi again everyone.

I'm running a Banks muffler now and have read that it isn't that terrific for exhaust flow. Is that true? If so, what other brand would you recommend? I don't think I want to go straight pipe because of the noise but maybe it isn't so bad. As always, all responses are appreciated.

Contact Ted at JRE (in the TDR links). We replaced the Banks in my '92 with a free flow Walker.

Personally, I like the sound of the 4" system with the short 4" straight thru muffler. The case of the muffler is 12" long. At least 2 of the muffler shops here in Reno stock them.

I don't like loud & this works for me. The 3" with no muffler is too loud for me. The 4" slows down the exhaust flow some, lowers the tone & the short 4" straight thru takes out the rough edges.

I am currently running a DynoMax muffler. I could only get the 3" type because all the muffler places here only go up to 3" piping. I just welded on a 5" chrome tip on it today. Sounds great (gotta love that turbo whine) and really isn't too loud.
