A friend of mine just installed a tank in the bed of a ford pickup and when he shut's off the transfer pump you can here it still siphoning? Has any run into this before? Does anyone have any ideas what to do to remedy the problem? Thanks Seth
Get a fuel solenoid valve that is used to switch tanks on a two tank truck. JC Whitney has them cheap. Hook it up so that when the pump is on the tank is slected. When the pump is off the other (non-existing) tank is selected.
On mine I ran the fuel line in a u--bend higher than the tank in the bed, which cured my problem,my tank is in my tool box so hidding the hose was no problem.
