Have been looking at the in bed 98 gallon Transfer Flow auxillary tank has anyone used it with a camper shell and if so how bad do the fimes get inside the shell. I see they do make a camper shell fuel neck adapter so am assuming that there must be some demand for it. I'm mostly worried about fume build up so to speak. Also how does the 98 gallon tank fair with a gooseneck as that may be a possibility in the future? Thanks

98 gal transfer flow

I don't have a shell but the tank is vented under the truck and to the main tank. The only thing that sticks up is the filler neck and the sending unit cover. I think you would be OK with the gooseneck clearing these items. I can take some pictures tonight if your interested. Ken Irwin

My boss for U. S. Smokeless Tobacco has one in his truck, and as far as I know it is a totally sealed system. . I never smell it when I have to crawl into the camper to get stuff out... shouldnt be a probby. Why a camper? I thought you were supposed to haul the heavy stuff in the bed??

Moving to Alaska so want something we can sleep under and something to keep things dry on the move up there. Also will probably be doing lots of camping while there.

I used a Transfer Flow 70 gallon with a camper shell and TF fill neck through the shell for a couple of years before I bought a fifth wheel and removed the shell. I never smelled diesel fuel under the shell. Worked great. I still have the Leer camper shell with the TF fill neck sitting around. It's for sale if anyone is interested.
