Hello,

I have a problem with my seat belt buzzer in the junction box (driver side dash). I have to pull hard on the belt to stop it making that horrible noise and the seat belt red light stays on in the lower right dash.
When I checked it, I noticed a round relay just above the black buzzer in the fuse box that was very hot. Someone knows what is this relay for ?

And anyone has ever replace the buzzer with another one (less agressive one...) or you just pull it off ?

Thanks in advance !

Yes but they seemed to be on the right of the box. The one I talk about is on the left, just above the seat belt buzzer.

According to this it would be the Time Delay Relay.

In my case, I reached under the dash and removed the buzzer itself. I carried it around in the glove box for a few years, then tossed it.

I don't know for sure, but about the only thing that I can think of that's "Time Delayed" is the interior lights and maybe the mirror heaters.

Do you have the halo light around the ignition key? IIRC on my old 97 gasser and 98.5 the timer controls that.

Yes I have the light around the ignition key. I will check that.
And I will remove the buzzer. I'll have to unscrew the junction box because there is no room to remove the buzzer from the side panel.
Thanks for the replies.

IIRC I didn't remove anything. I turned the key on with the door open and felt around under the dash until I found the little box that was vibrating.
