To hang from the underside of my truck, so I can tell where the noise is coming from :D .

Seriously,

In the last few days, I have started to hear a "growl" coming from the underside of the truck. It makes this noise only when I turn, and will stop the instant I depress the clutch. I have tried to listen to it with the window down, but I can't destinguish if it's coming from the front or rear.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Larry

I have seen the throw-out bearing do some strange things and movement (like making a turn) just aggrevates the coming failure. I have an auto so I have not looked at the adjustments except on my roadrunner. Maybe it is to close or riding on the pressure plate fingers?. Worth a check anyway.

If you have a limited slip rear differential it can make quite a bit of noise when turning, you may need to add some friction modifier to the rear end.

It could be he pilot bearing. If this goes out you will not be able to disengage the clutch. South Bend Clutch is the place to be rid of this needle bearing problem. Take to Peter.
