I know I've asked a million questions on here, and I'll continue to till I get this stuff figured out :p So get over it LOL

Anyhow-I asked about to much blake smoke problem before and everybody said it was normal. . good deal.

Now I've come to another question that is nagging me. When I very first got this truck, leaving the lot,it hadn't been moved all week I revved it up in 2nd gear but was just slowly easing to the gas station next door, when I let off it blew some WHITE smoke all for about 5-10 ft and stopped, didn't do it anymore. I drove it to school for the first time today and it sat out there all day. I took a guy to his truck because he was dieing to ride in the "big ass truck" Everybody kept telling me to rev it up etc but I disappointed them knowing I had just started it and sittin all day. I'm idling out of the parking lot in 2nd gear and it does the same thing again, white smoke for 5-10ft and stops. I took the long way home down the long stretch of four lane and got to goose on it some once it warmed up. It never done it again except when I went up a steep hill and I romped on it and nothing, going down the other side I coasted and it blew a little white smoke. It will do it from time to time when you first start it in the mornings, white smoke for just a second. From what I've read on here some factors in it lead to say that it being bone stock except for straight piped that the timing needs to be bumped up a tad and the pump needs to be tweaked on. But the white smoke in 2nd gear leads me to similar things that it needs a pump rebuild on it.

So which is it guys? I'm still dumber than a rock on a lot of this stuff so I'm going to ask a lot of dumb questions like this. I need to do a full service on the truck soon, air, fuel, oil filters, oil, trans, rearend fluid change and put some good fuel conditior in the tank but haven't got to yet. With what I've got in the truck I'm willing to spend some $$ on it because I do like it and it is going to come in handy a lot so just shoot straight with me. Info, advice, suggestions, someone who can explain this junk to me more, etc is greatly appreciated. I just want to make sure I take care of this bad boy and treat it nice so it'll last a long time to come Oo. Sorry for writing the short story

White smoke in the morning is unburned fuel... Upon start-up the KSB ups the pressure to insure a quick start... since the cylinders are not up to temp enough to burn the fuel, it exits as white(ish) smoke.

If you go to the Cummins web site and poke around you will find an entry in the FAQ section that talks about white smoke and how normal it is. Worth a little surf time.

Alright CB, come clean, you bought another 1st gen:D!. Mopar Man1-> Cb Parker in hiding... ... c'mon this is really CB right?

The horror! Being called CB is NOT a compliment LOL But naw I'm not CB,I talk to him some but I reckon he's still hanging with the "other crowd" I only wanna stick with the 1st gen. though :-laf
