I have decided that I want to make the switch from my flatbed to a regular box. Does anyone here have a box in really good condition (preferably green)?

P. M Me for details if you have something that may interest me.

I also need to do something with my flatbed.

Well, first off, I like the lights in the sides of your flatbed. I'd make the trade with you, but my bed is rather beat up, and it's blue and silver. I think the biggest problem, though, is that you're in Idaho, and the closest I am to that is Iowa.

The outside of my box is decent - a few dings over the wheel wells, look at reader's rigs, but the inside needs work. The wheel wells have some small holes in them (the previous owner punched through them when transporting a bush hog or something), and the bed itself is sagging slightly between the crossmembers like they all do at this age.

There are holes drilled on the bed in the front of the box for air brake lines, the mounting bracket for the air line connectors is still there, though. I will take my tank/toolbox out, so there will be holes through the bed there too.

How does your fuel fill come out of the bed? I can't tell in the pic you have.

If you have any other questions or whatnot, I'm always here.

Scott

Oh, and you'll have to wait until probably the week of Thanksgiving before I could even think about doing this. At any rate, good luck with your search.

100% custom made. It is really strong, it's the heaviest flatbed I, and many other people, have ever seen.

If anything, I would at least like to get a better looking flatbed.

This one is a little too bulky for me.

Does anyone know of some websites where I could see all different kinds of manufactured flatbeds?

Your bed being custom explains how they achieved the low finished deck height, one thing you will see when looking off the shelf is that the finished deck height is going to be somewhere up to 8" over stock bed height, which can make quite a difference if you throw stuff on by hand... . some names I have seen are: Alum-line, Inc. , Parkhurst(Rancher), Scott-Lite, Rugby, Knapheide, Hillsboro. Most of these beds are designed to go on flat frames, not our "Golden Arches", which is why the finished bed height will end up so high. I think the bed on your truck looks good, you might find that dressing it up a little would be time bettter spent, as I've pretty much come to the conclusion that to get what I want in a flatbed I'm going to have to make it. Good Luck
