My Di Pricol EGT gauge started randomly shorting out on me about a year ago and has reached the point where it basicly doesn't function anymore. I've checked all the connections and there isn't any breaks/kinks/looseness anywhere. I don't really think the gauge is at fault so I'd like to find a new sender.

What I think I need is a K type thermocouple with 3/8" threads. I'm sure they are out there somewhere, but I've had no luck locating a replacement. Whould any of you more experienced guys have any idea where I could locate one of these? The dead gauge on my dash is starting to irritate me!

Thanks,

Isaac

I don't know if all the sending voltages are the same for the different manufacturer's thermocouples, so the first thought I'd have would be to go back to the manufacturer for an exact replacement part. If they are the same, I know Westach will sell you any size K thermocouple you want.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip, I checked Westachs website and they should have what I need. They also tell how to check the gauge and sender so I'll be doing that before I shell out my hard earned dollars.

I've been assuming that for a given "type" thermocouple the sending voltage would be the same. Guess I could be wrong though, I'll do a little research.
