In Tank Lift Pump

I just had the In Tank lift pump added today under guarantee. They left the conversion booklet in the truck.



The steps are listed to flash the computer.



Step 17a. If old ECM # is known highlight flash file



Step 24g DRBIII should show Cummins ECM replaced.



It appears that part of the upgrade to in tank fuel pump is also a swap out of the ECM. Is this true. Anyone know what the guarantee is on a swapped ECM and the actual in tank fuel system ? I fogot to ask the dealer. I was too shell shocked after driving a loaner Neon for the weekend LOL !

NOOOO, the ecm is updated with new software to control the fuel pump at that tank, the warrenty is on the pump

Yes, 96,579 miles

The engine mounted fuel pump falls under the 5year/100k mile engine warranty. Mine was replaced a while back with 90k on it.
