If your going to the FASS do it right. Remove the in-tank pump and do the the cannister conversion so you don't have low fuel or suction problems.

I already have the FASS (for 1. 5 years or so now). The problem is I'm getting a little annoyed with the noise level when it is cold out. You can't hear it on the highway, but around town in stop and go the constant whine is getting to me. I have the kit to replace the in-tank pump with the pickup, but haven't installed it yet. My thought was that if I plumb both then I could use the in-tank when driving around town and the FASS on the highways, when towing, or when I'm making smoke ;). The idea of redundancy is nice too.

As a side note, the FASS does seem louder than when I first installed it, but not 100% sure. I did change the filters yesterday (first time) to make sure that a restriction wasn't causing the additional noise. Interestingly, when the heater grids are on the pitch is much less annoying.
