last summer my LP was gettin pretty weak. So, under warranty, Dodge replaced it with the in-tank pump. My regular mechanic convinced me that the in-tank pump drops too much pressure under load, as proven by the LED low pressure lite I had installed. So, he recommended a LP mounted on the frame in series with the in-tank pump. Pressure is fine now.

My question. With all of the info I find on the tdr now about the in-tank pump, has anyone actually had good luck with it ?

Thanks,

I ran 2 pumps for a while but I had the stock LP on the block and then one on the frame. The only this with that was, I didn't like how high the pressure got (27psi). Now I'm just running one pump on the frame with a big line kit, and it works great.

I too had to have the dealer install the in the tank lift pump under warr. before they would replace my vp. After both pumps were replaced I added a Carter 4600 (8psi) pump in the stock location on the engine. 15 psi at idle and not below 10 psi under wot. NOW we'll see how long this 4600 lasts as compared to the stock lift pumps... ...
