In trouble again, need a jeep A/C pump

Told dad I would fix his A/C for payment to borrow his Cherrokee-



Needs a pump, $600 from local auto parts!!!!!!!!! YOUCH!



Where can I get this one rebuilt, or quality used, anything!!!

buddy of mine has a shop, he does all repairs on the cars for some of the local used car shops. they use nothing but wrecking yard parts for everything. he deals with a few known good yards. 99% of the time the part is fine, if not he gets an even exchange for another. Gotta be a heck of alot cheaper than the price you were quoted. And if you go yourself, you should be able to bring a gauge and tell if at least the system your taking the pump from is still charged... better chance of getting a good pump. Better yet of it's a fresh wreck,, say rearended or Tboned... everything should still be intacked and you can start it and check it.
