I'm thinking of a Towing application. I've increase HP with #10 plate, Goerend transmission upgrades, lost cat etc.

I assume on flat land towing, just crusing, there wouldn't be any increased stress on drive train. (Assuming I don't try to accelerate to cruise speed with my foot in floor)

Normal stock on long grade I may pull down to 35 or 40 mph. But now I can pull the same grade at say 55 or 60 mph. Does that mean I'm also increasing the loads on the Differential etc. ? Is this significant to life of universals and Diff??

I wouldn't think it would cause much excessive stress on the drivetrain,or we would all be screaming from the problems. The only time I would think it is causing more strain is when we are out hotrodding in out 6500# + dragsters... :D

Of course auto trans and clutches don't like the extra power, that's why many folks upgrade. Output shafts tend to break also. The driveshaft and differential seem to handle the extra power well.
