Hey Hoosiers and surrounding area TDR members; Dave's Diesel is wanting to throw a wiener roast/BBQ for us guys. Dave's Diesel is in Muncie Indiana, Northeast of Indianapolis about 50 miles. They are a Bosch injection service shop and will have injectors/VA box's, get your pump "tuned" and Bank's products including the 4" exhaust system. They are looking at the first weekend in June and I told them that we needed at least 20 people to be successful. This is preliminary and I am waiting for a definite date from them. I also plan on asking the nearby dragstrip if we can test and tune that day. If I have not covered anything post your question and I'll get back to you.

Sounds like fun. Does Dave's have a dyno, and if so, would it be available?

They have a desktop dyno and it works real good. There is an IMI nearby for weighing the vehicles and a bypass that we can run very fast on. I just spoke with Muncie dragstrip and they said it would be VERY expensive for them to open special for us. Saturdays in the summer are out of the question for them. We'll have fun anyway. If people are planning any mods I would like to know so I can make sure they have things in stock e-mail me and I will get prices for you. I will search for a real dyno.

June 10th is the only day the shop can do it. They race super stock and are busy all summer. I will be looking into other get togethers in Southern Indiana (Cummins) and Terre Haute soon, also. There will be plenty. So if you read this and can't make June 10th, let me know that your interested in a get together some other time.

Eric sounds good to me, will have to check work. The local diesel shop (Scheid diesel) is planning on a get togather at the Terre Haute fair grounds some time in September.

I put it on my calendar for June 3, assuming that was the correct date. I have something going on Friday night up in Cleveland, so a lot depends on what time everything will be on Saturday. I guesstimated Indy is about a 51/2-6 hour drive from Cleveland. As you firm things up, post the details.

It is a firm date. June 10th,2000. Starts at 10am. Rick from Dave's Diesel is going to explain the P7100 in full detail including hp increases and timing. Amsoil is providing a raffle for one free oil change and they will be on site with transmission and diff fluids. We may get a soap box and have him explain synthetics and petroleum based oils. The local Dodge dealer will have a 2001 ETH Cummins there for us. Also, a local accessory place may have door prizes. Free food, lots of locals. Already talks of having one next year at a nearby speedway and having a truck pull. #ad
