Anyone have experience with the Industrial Injection Stage III CP3? Industrial Injection says "it is almost a drop in replacement for the stock CP3 fuel pump. " How much effort is the installation? What else had to be changed for it to drop in? Are you satisfied with the results, or do you wish you had gone to a dual CP3 setup?

Modified injectors = modified cp3 = more lift pump... . 150-200gph is a good starting point, get the tank pick up tube too.

II's pump is a great pump, but there 85% and 120% pumps are better... Oo.

Are these modded CP3 pumps putting out more PSI or just more GPH? Meaning, could you run higher rail psi with a modded pump and 40-50hp injectors, better atomizing of the fuel?

The psi holding ability is greater, but the volume is the greater advantage

But yes better atomization is realized

Thanks for all the replies. I was on the telephone with Industrial Injection this morning and the Stage III CP3 I was asking about, and is listed on their website, is superseded. The 85% pump diesel Power referred to has replaced it, although it isn't on their website. I understand selling products is their primary concern, not web maintenance, but they (and some other companies) might sell more products if they posted current information. As of now, I think I'll go with the 85% pump. That may change when I glance at my billfold again in a few minutes,

The only issue i had with II has been their lack of directions. When i dropped 5k on twins I didn't get as much as a pic to help during the install. They may have decided to start packing some instructons since then, but you should be good with a wrench to complete their installs. Also, do a search for Floor It Diesel's cp3's if you want something to compare the II unit against.
