Indy Vs Scheid's

For next year's Diesel Road Trip, I need to decide which event I will be attending. I need to know which event Rocks best. I have been to Indy for 4 years running. I am aware that there is some tension around with the DHRA, and Indy may not happen.



Also, which is the Hotel to stay, maybe not "Party Central", but close to the action. Also how are the Police out in Terre Haute? The cops were cool in Plainfield, until '08 then it was quite the police state We may have taken advantage of our female party guests in the years before, but this year's police crack down was a bit too much. (5 trucks waiting for their buddies truck to get towed at SR 200 & CR 1000, causing a major traffic jam WTF, almost got towed/tassered ourselves . )

At scheids they anounced sat afternoon, that they were going to write tickets for smoke and racing.

They did!!!!

I didn't go to Indy, but it was the same as far as I could tell.

I've never been to Indy or Scheid's but I can't imagine a better event than the TS Outlaw event in Bowling Green. Never saw much talk about it here but it was a major affair on CompD. I'm not sure if '08 was the 2nd or 3rd year, I think it was the 2nd, but I do know that attendance and participation doubled from '07 to '08.

I was at the TS event this year. Cops were very present there too.



These events have changed so much in the last 3 years with the younger people, drinking, racing, and burn outs, the cops must keep it under control.



I've seen some very drunk and indiferent open alcohol events I am very careful where I go.



At Muncie a few years ago, every one had fun and few were in trouble for drinking. The judgement is not as good anymore.

those who challenge the rules will ruin these shows.
