possible new Dodge 4500? who knows?

biodiesel rent-a cars

I think someone posted this before, but it is still an interesting read. It has more to do w/tractor's then w/our trucks, but some of that info holds true for our trucks.

My last tank, although it's not in my signature line yet, I kept the speed at or below 68, EGT for the most part under 650, and boost under 7, shooting for 5 or 6psi cruising, with easy acceleration, and I managed 18. 26mpg that tank. I'm trying it again this tank with different settings on the TST box, to see where the truck is at it's most efficient. The other tip from that article I decided to try was "use the low end power the engine has" rather than rev it up. I tried to keep the cruising RPM range around 1600-1800 and make the shifts around there also. Not very scientific but results will continue to be gathered.
