What is the deck in my truck? I looked in the glove compartment, does not say. I pulled out my window sticker, it does not say.

How do I find out? Is it an RBQ?

Is the RBQ for '03 equipped w/ Sat. radio control?

I've done a lot of searching on this site, and I can't seem to find an answer...

I have an '03 with the Infinity 6 disc in-dash changer. I want to add XM to my truck.

I bought a Roady 2 yesterday, and it does not work very well at all in my truck, but it works great in the girlfriend's brand new Jetta. Lucky her, she gets to keep it.

I'm considering the XM direct, which according to these sites will work with my truck. Anyone have any experience? My local audio dealer says it will not.

My deck looks like this (thanks Klenger):

And I want to buy this:

Thanks for the help. I love this site!

The 6 disc Infinity CD changer is the RBQ. If you look closely in the lower left hand corner on the front of the upper display of the CD changer you will see the letters RBQ.

What does not work well about the roady in your truck? If you are using the

FM broadcast feature it helps to put the XM antenna as close to the Music radio antenna as you can. If it is placed far away you will constantly get interference from other radio stations. I have a XM2go and it works great once I move the

xm antenna to the passenger side of the truck.

I placed the XM antenna as close to the factory antenna as possible. No matter what channel I tried, there was a good amount of hiss that came in and out. There must be a ton of interference around here.

I placed the unit in my g/f's new Jetta, which has *no* external antenna. I placed it on the dash, where there's conveniently a metal grille. It works great! No interference, no hiss. I guess I have to get a more expensive version to work in my truck.

RE: Pioneer N2

Just bought one a week ago and it is XM ready and does not need FM modulation. The damn thing is pretty cool. The navigation part is very detailed and seems to be intelligent as it recalculates routes instantly. The reason I bought it is the DVD screen displays gauges and I have been told that it can display any data that the PCM reads, like common rail pressure or pyrometer temp etc. Has anyone done this yet?
