Just took mine off. Took about 3 hours but we removed exhaust and transmission too. We emptied coolant first, removed injector lines, throttle hookup (on top or injector pump) and intake manifold. disconnect exhaust from turbo, oil line (drain and lub lines) from turbo. You can disconnect turbo from exhaust manifold (some do some don't). You can leave exhaust manifold on head if you are just changing gaskets but if you are sending head out for any work you need to remove exhaust manifold. Take off valve cover and start unbolting head from block. Again if you are sending head out you need to remove oil pressure and coolant temp sending units and the intake plate from the top of the head intake runner area. We has to remove ww arms and the plastic cover below them to get the last pushrod out of the back of the head. The holes that Dodge put in were not enough to remove the last one so we holesawed another one in. Also the Map sensor needs to be removed its right next to the oil pressure sending unit in the rear drivers side of the head. Remove injectors if you are sending head out too. You can lift head off block easy with a engine hoist and a short lenght of chain bolted on the top of the head. Be careful as the injector tips stick out slightly from the valve side of the head. Any questions pm me.
