info on 05 jetta wagon

Just purchased a little Jetta wagon diesel rig for my wife. Would like to hear from other TDR members that own these 1. 9 dsl engines. I would like to know if there is a volkswagon club that provide the info like our TDR does so I can get right into bombingggg it!. Thanks ken

Hey Congrads on the new car. I'm sure your wife will enjoy it.



The VW 1. 9 tdi is a great great engine, however, the rest of the car is junk. Hopefully you got the stickshift since the auto is a worthless sloppyshifting mess. The jettas are full of rattles and problem prone. Even beeswax pours out the doors :{

Except for maintainance, the engine is a jewel. Things are gonna get expensive when timing belt change time rolls around. Found a leaking water pump during the belt change and a few bad belt guide rollers. Final damage was $600 for the belt change. The other issue is the MAF sensor. They tend to crap out without notice. Find a grage that works on VW's and they should have the sortware to scan the computer, you're gonna need him.

I Have An O3 And I Think The Wagon Is Pretty Tight So Far And The 1. 9 Tdi Is Incredible! I Guess You Could Say The Same About Our Trucks---great Motor, Descent Vehicle :-{}
