Seems a few of us are getting this recall, but the link to details is broken. Spoke to Ram customer assist: It's called recall P15, and it's for reprogramming to address a couple of wireless problems:
+ no response from keyless fob or remote start fob;
+ TPMS display crashes
No parts required, just a software upgrade.

I was on-line yesterday and got a recall notice for the RF Hub reprogramming....
My 2104 2500 is only 6 days old and the only problems I have is LR TMPS not responding and on a trip last Saturday got code U0001 (High Speed CAN Communication Bus) which lasted for half a day then disappeared...???
Any correlation here?

Just got mine back from the dealer having the 8.4 head unit replaced after 3 visits and no results. They also did the P15, although I was not having issues with the addressed items.

Had a strange thing happen on my truck a couple days ago...

We stopped for lunch at a rest stop in northern California after towing for a couple hours. Got back in the truck, started it up, and started adjusting/setting everything for another stretch of driving. One thing I always do before towing is reach over and press the Tow/Haul button on the center switch stack below the Uconnect screen, because Tow/Haul is always off by default after an engine shutdown.

This time the Tow/Haul button didn't light up or respond! Not only that, I quickly discovered NONE of the buttons on the center switch stack were responding... all were completely dead. I had no way to turn on Tow/Haul, adjust the exhaust brake, Park/Sense, etc. The seat heater and seat ventilation could alternatively be controlled through the Uconnect screen, so they weren't an issue.

I checked for trouble codes with my Edge Insight and didn't find any... not that I expected to.

I couldn't think of anything else to do but try but shutting off the engine and then restart it. Unfortunately that didn't fix it, so at that point I figured I had no choice but to just drive it without Tow/Haul and ultimately bring the truck to a dealer at our next overnight stop. So we left the rest stop.

As soon as I began accelerating onto the freeway, the center switch stack suddenly started working normally! It's been working perfectly ever since.

I'm baffled,

John L.

John, I had the exact same thing happen last Friday..........when taking my truck to the dealer the hub update (and a pile of others). Of course, it was working when fine when I got to the dealer. They couldn't duplicate it, and found nothing. Mine was stuck in tow/haul.........

Since I was going for several updates, I did have them write it up, and while they couldn't duplicate it, at least it on my service history.

Hola, new to forum and Ram greatness. Convert from Ford man...
Had my 2500 Laramie CTD for all of 5 days now and I love this truck. However today the radio started going nuts... Randomly switching from radio to media and back. Anyone else have this happen? Think I may need same update? Thanks for any input and look forward to getting to know my new Ram brethren.

Mine did the same thing. After two trips to the dealer, they replaced the head unit. 24 hours later its doing it again......ARGH!!!!

It is most likely the media hub. Seen a few doing the same thing lately.

The ICS Integrated Center Stack is another controller on the truck. It may have locked up just like any other controller can do. Just turning off the key may not do it. You might need to let it go to sleep. Shut it off, remove the key, open and close the driver door and then wait a minute or two. It takes a couple of minutes for all the modules to go to sleep, so the longer you can wait the better. Not very convenient, but the only other way is to full a fuse, not that it is any more fun than waiting!

Good to know..........thanks!

Ram replaced an RF Hub (the one behind the DS rear seat) two weeks ago. They performed the recall P15 flash today. The only
issue I found with the unflashed Hub was that one time I had to hit the remote 2x to get the door to unlock as the first hit just turned on the headlights.
Hopefully as is well now for me.

Quick update: I assume this is coincidence but the day after I posted about the radio issue it again was flipping back and forth unbearably. About 20-30 times in 5 minutes... So I plugged in my Ipod with the aux cord (not the usb) It stopped flipping instantly. It has been about a week now and it has yet to act up again even after I disconnected said cord.... Weird , yes. Coincidence , probably. But who knows... My Ram must be female...

Me thinks the whole OP system is a Microsoft based system.... Sure it will work when it wants to that is. But wake it up when it don't want to and it will just not play nice. Like all Microsoft systems they half work at best. My truc has had the E break and Tow Haul switches lock up/ play dead many times now as soon as you drive a few miles they will wake up and function. Yea it's annoying but what really bothers me is when the Radio locks up stuck on what ever it was playing or tuned to when you shut it (the truck) off last. Even the volume will be locked screen will say ether nothing or searching for signal or see dealer soon. it's not fun when its 4 am and your trying to be quiet and the dam thing is stuck on Boston's Cool The Engine's at full volume..... Only way to get it to work again is to shut down the truck wait about 10 min then try it again. Almost makes you want an old 8 track....Lol

Yes, the TPMS is mentioned in the recall notice I received. I had mine done this morning.

Long story is the reprograming the RH Hub did not help my LR TPM alarm. Got an appointment in Terre Haute, IN at VIRGO Dodge as I moved west in my RV.
The day of my appointment for the replacement of the LR TMP, the RR TPM also went south. VIRGO replaced both rear TPM sensors and all was good again... for a while.
The next day we left the CG and now got a low pressure alarm on the front TPMs. Said low pressure... raise to 60 PSI... while indicating 63 and 65 PSI in the front!
What a PITA! Will have to wait till I stop for a day to two and 'play' with the pressure! Rats!!!
