Biodiesel Effect On 1st Gen Parts?

Transporting WVO = hazmat?

SVO - Straight Vegetable Oil. Burns well in many diesels, but does not start engine, and will coke in the injectors as a hot engine cools. A separate tank of petroleum diesel or BioDiesel is often used during starting and stopping engine, and an electric valve allows transfer to the SVO tank.

Found this at DFWbiodeisel.com. Thought I would post it for those running SVO, kinda scary knowing it will coke in the injectors as the engine cools. DFWbiodiesel is where I get my B100 from. There is more info at their site.

the point is that that when running a properly designed system to run SVO you do not want to shut the engine down and let the SVO cool in the injectors. You want to shut the engine down on diesel or biodiesel.

The other reason is that if it cold enough outside it will gell very quickly and you can forget about starting altogether until you warm up the lines.
