Info on the Freightliner FL Series

Has anyone owned a Freightliner FL serires. I'm interested in them with the cummins and was woundering if anyone had any info.
How do they pull?
How is the ride?
How is the fuel miliage?
Any info would be appriciated.

Hawk, I'm looking at them too. I have driven a FL60 with a CAT and Allison auto. It rides nice and pulls hard empty. It was a test drive at the dealer so I wasn't hooked to a load. Right now I'm looking at a FL70 with the 8. 3 Cummins and Allison. This is what I will probably go with. The truck is the lllooonnngggg wheelbase because of the 14' motorhome box on the back. Overall length of the truck is just short of 30 feet. We'll see how it pulls when it gets here.

A customer of mine has an FL70 with an 8. 3 and Allison. He has long wheel base and 19. 5 tires. Puts a trailer on the bed and tows one behind. He gets 8to 10 MPG loaded and up to 12 empty. Really likes it and has about 40,000 miles on a 2001 model. I am expecting him back from Phoenix any minute to try on a front of trailer stone guard I built for him.
