It is pretty straight forward if you are not adding 2in spacers. The way i did it was jack the truck up with 2 floor jacks and then support the front with 2 6ton jack stands. Then i took the tires off. Next i took the shock off which by the way is the hardest thing. After you get the shocks out just let the axle down with the jacks and the springs will almost fall out if not you can usually give them a little tug and they will come out. (I have done 988s on 3 trucks and 2 with spacers) After you get the new ones in it should go right back together... ... Now if you decide to installl sapcers that is a diffrent story... . Let me know if you are going to do that and will give some pointer to make your day simpler...

... ... Also i forgot you will have to undo the 2 nuts (one on each side) holding the sway bar to the alxle so that the axle can drop. . Sry about that

I lust completed installing mine. This job should take you only 2. 5 hours. to add to ccutrell reaponse It's best to use two jacksfor this job. it will also be easer to remove the shock towers and shocks together. lower both sides together and the shocks will just fall out. once new springs are in place, button up on one side at a time.
