dang. . that weighs more than i do by a good bit. . largest we have at work in impact is a #5 spline or 1" square. . we have some 1. 5" square drive stuff, but it is for the hydraulic torque machines [or the 25:1 multipliers]

Ryan, where do you find the free time to locate this stuff? LOL

I have never even heard of one of these, but called a buddy who works for Western GECO, and he said he's seen something similar--maybe the same thing--at a huge oil field in Venezuela.....

Friggin' huge that is.

I was watching a show about building skyscrapers. They were talking about the pneumatic wrenches that are used to secure the bolts for the steel beams. They mentioned the most powerful impact gun in the world - the IR 599, so named because it weighs 599 lb. So of course I had to run online and check it out! I was hoping someone around here might have used one and could take some pictures for us.

Yup... I carry that sucker around the shop one handed  :-laf

You know you'll would love one of those when you have the stubborn bolt that is just locked up, won't snap or undo. Stick that gun on there and problem solved. :D

Anybody got a 3. 5" to 3/8" adapter?

A conversation I'd like to have:

"This bolt is rusted in place... do you have an impact gun?"

"Yes. Do you have a crane?"
