I know I have seen all this info before, but I just tried to search for this stuff and couldn't get it to work. Anyway, yesterday I ordered some DD II injecters, my questions are, will I see more of a increase than the EZ, how much EGT increase will I see, and lastly how much will 4" exhuast really lower them. any input would be helpful.

I hate waiting for parts to come

Thanks Jeff

Jeff... .

see my sig for truck details. I am at sea level, so here are my observations. I do think sea level is a postive factor for both egt's and smoking issues.

Just added DD2's. Butt-dyno says substantial increase in performance all through the rpm range. At that time I had a muffler-less 3", but still had the resinator. Egt's approx. 1200 at WOT, which was approx. 150 more than before the DD's. No problem with egt's at 70-75... . same as they were before. . 600.

I was expecting them to be very high. I don't tow.

JRE 4" went on three days later. EGT's now back around 1100-1125. Turbo lag is minimally reduced, and turbo cool down to 300 much quicker. I can even get to 250 by waiting maybe 20 seconds more. I left the EZ on setting 3 because I didn't get anywhere near the smoke everyone else is talking about. Just a nice little cloud that would only p^ss off the most radical snail-darter folks. That only happens when I stomp on it with low boost. Mildly aggressive starts - hardly any smoke. Normal traffic starts, no smoke. I was really prepared to change the EZ setting because I didn't want some eco-terrorist to try and take me out. Now we can all live with it.

IMO you will love your DD2's, and you'll be glad you've got a strong clutch. Good luck.
