Hey guys, just to let you know. Dove head first into my ve injection pump. First thing I noticed pump full of metal. After I got it all apart, I saw lots and lots of wear. Some rust on the inside pump itself and the fact that it has been rubbing and noisy. I got half way done and after caliper measuring I am just goin to take it to valley injection in modesto california, unless someone tells me different. Owner and I have been emailing since friday, and he even answered me on the weekend. In this business climate, that speaks alot.

Unless you have done 4 or 5 successful rebuilds and had to track down problems, take it to a qualified rebuilder. It takes some experience with things to understand what to look for and what to do when you find it.

Might as well pull the injectors and take them along too unless you have the parts and ability to pop test them. Metal in the IP is almost always going to be in the the injectors also.

Brand new pod injectors not evern half hour on them! Im going to drive the pump to modesto to a qualified bosh builder and have it put on the flow bench and checked hopefully while I watch!
