Injection pump leaking

when truck is running from behind pump where i can't see. What is the most common reason for this drip drip drip? I can pull the pump but I just want to know what someone may tell me to look for.

Truck starts fine and shuts down fine so the pump may need screw adjust to max the weak power but this leak is not acceptable.

Thanks for any first hand knowledge.

There is a cover on the engine side of the injector pump that is sealed by an o-ring. It is known to cause a leak. Mine was fixed under warrantee 10yrs or so ago and didn't give any more problems. Removal of the pump is required for repair.

I am wondering where I might get a photo of a pump(particularly the blind side) so that I might be ready with the parts to fix the leak as I take the pump off and put it back on???? Does anyone have one sitting around to take a pic? thanks baron

You'll only need the pump seal kit. I think I deleated all my pump picks... ... ... ... .

We had a leaking fitting, had to pull the pump to get to the o-ring. Here's a link to the thread on this - might be the same thing.

VE Gasket/Seal Kit

Bosch part # DGK121 ~$18 get it from www.scheiddiesel.com or a local Bosch shop.
