took my injectors out last week just put new ones in now truck wont start bumped it 3 times then cranked for 30seconds nothing then bumped again then cranked still noting tried 2 more times what do I do I took off number1 injector line and bumped no fuel coming out what is the procedure if I HAVE AIR IN LINE

don't remove the injector lines, just loosen the nuts on 1, 3, and 5 at the injector... crank the motor over for 10 seconds or so... let the starter cool for 30 seconds, repeat... maybe repeat again... it should make some noises like it might be trying to start.

you should see fuel at the injector nuts... tighten 'em up and try to start it. you'll probably want to give it a little throttle at the pedal. it'll run rough for a bit till all the air is worked out of the system.

hope this helps

Loosen the tubing nut about 1 turn. Do not pump the gas pedal. Turn over for approx. 10 - 15 seconds. Let starter cool for 30 seconds and try again if necessary. You should see diesel fuel seeping around the nut. When fuel is present tighten the nut. Continue this until you have fuel at all nuts. If it starts shutdown and tighten all tubing nuts. Should be good to go. Air is sometimes hard to remove from the fuel system. Good luck. Jim

gottorq33,

I'm hardly an expert but when I did injectors I bumped the starter (to get the LP running) probably 15 times & then tried to start for about 7 seconds with the pedal to the floor. After about 3 tries she fired. At that point I held it to about 1200 rpm until she idled smooth. Approx. 1 minute.

Good luck.
