Sorry it was vague, I was trying to use my wifes phone from a restaraunt and thats about all my patience could handle trying to figure out how to use it!

Same procedure that Sag wrote up although I will be swapping out the nozzles on stock '05 injector bodies. The nozzles are DDP 50's which has the tool in the box. I am leaving for a trip this afternoon and didnt want to start a job I wouldnt finish in time and have to leave the top opened up while I was away for the week... needless to say I havent started it yet. Just nice to know for planning purposes.

Again What Version... . Factory bodies are different then current Version. . DDP should have discuss this with YOU... and are the Injector OEM. . ?

Guess I am not understanding; version?? They are stock/factory OEM injector bodies... I didnt buy them directly through DDP, rather I bought them through a retailer, so no, I didnt discuss it with anybody. Should I be looking for something here? I guess I thought when I asked for 50 hp DDP nozzles for a STOCK 2005 CTD with NO injector upgrades, I would've received the nozzles to fit. Are there different bodies for 2005 YM? What am I missing here? (i. e. bosch or other manufacturer; was there a contract change that year??) Throw me a bone!

Well I finally did the swap. I have the early style body (without the puck) and the new style nozzles. According to DDP, the new style nozzles work with the old body style but not vice versa. The stock nozzles that I removed were part# 1309 where the new DDP nozzle #'s are 5500; not sure what that means but installed them anyway. I took my time and performed one injector at a time so nothing got mixed up and all torques were spot on; it took me 8 hours.

I'll be putting DDP 50's on in a month or so, so thanks for the time figure.

You get to drive it yet?

I havent driven it yet but I am about to head to town, i'll let you know when I get back. It does seem quieter at idle though.

Well it runs good. Hate to say it but I dont notice much of a difference. I believe I am having issues with my STOCK TC and getting the power to the ground. When I bury the go pedal, it makes a lot of noise around 3K RPM but doesnt pull very hard until I back out of it and it upshifts/TC locks.

But it is quieter at idle and seems to idle smoother. I think I will notice it more when I hook up to the trailer

I do not mean to hijack the thread... But. . When do you know it is time for injector replacement? I have original injectors in my 05 with 170K mi, I have started to notice loss of power at the top end and a little white smoke when pressing the go peddal. Also, what determines the replacement of the complete injector VS. just the nozzle?

Usually its a process of elimination if you dont have the high $ scan tools needed for diagnostics. Generally the best way is to have your injectors tested, unfortunately no one in the states has the equipment to complete a true test, only pop test. They can also check the resistance across the solenoid as well as scope the nozzle.

If you ever do need to change your nozzles, ensure you match old style body or new style body to the old or new style nozzle alike. People will tell you that you can match new nozzle to old body but not vise versa... I disagree. It may work out for you for 300 or maybe 3K miles but it wont last lnog. That mistake ended up costing me a full set of 6 NEW Bosch injectors... . not cheap.
