What is considered "normal" lifespan for the stock injectors our trucks came with?

My EARLY '91 has 111,000 miles on it, is there some point where it;s considered a good idea to replace injectors, sorta like sparkplugs in a gas engine?

I assume poor operation in injectors would be much like bad plugs in a gasser - missing, rough running, poor performance?

Injectors do go bad. But that is when they are stuck open and leaking fuel into the oil. They will get dirty but unlike spark plugs, an older injector gets 'honed' out by the fuel. So you have better performance out of a pair of old injectors than brand new as long as the old ones still function properly. If you are looking for an excuse to get a set of Lucas injectors then I would say they go at around 111,000 miles. :D
