I understand that nozzles are EDM'ed and later extrude honed at the factory to finish them off... . the extrude hone process is using a liquid under very high pressure with an abrasive in the liquid. . this is forced through the EDM'ed nozzle and grit blasts the sharp edges and forms the nozzle...
I was told that one of the simple ways of taking our injectors up 50-100 HP is to extrude hone the nozzles with this high pressure grit to oversize them... . I've found several people who do this kind of work... but those that know the process and have the equipment charge 400-500 a set to do it...
BUT the people that do custom work can do this for under 200 bucks a set if we have the standard we wish to have done... I'm looking for a chart, or suggested sizing so that this can be done ... ... . I'm looking for specifications so that this is not a hit and miss, (trial and error) sort of thing... .
Anyone know anything about this... .
