Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) OMG, lost my rubber

The truck is a daily driver, and hot rod. I need a set of injectors big enough to spool a HX40/16 but yet still get me the best MPG possible. Im thinking 110hp DDP 3's or the 105hp Mach 2's. It will also have a box of some sort either a TST PMCR or a Comp. Im thinking TST because the truck will be getting a Smarty sometime. Ill turn the box down for MPG but then turn it up for fun. The truck is stock right now but will be getting a HX40, ats manifold, 4in exhaust, new VP, and after all of this a full billet DTT transmission. Let me know what you think.

99 1ton dually, QC 4x4, auto.

From what most others tell me, anything over a 150hp is somewhat hard to drive on the street. Bigger is doable but not reccommended. Do you tow a lot?

I would think about a better turbo like HTT 62/12cm and look at F1 mach 4s if your getting a DTT trans you will love the power. If you start small you will be upgrading soon the power bug will bite.

Well this is my dads truck and he already has the HX40. I tried to get him to buy a SPS but noooo. He might hook it to 13ton once a year, thats only if there is something wrong with our 97. The power bug has already got me but im worryed about dad. He seems to be able to resist the bug. :(

He'll give in soon enough. :-laf

JAyers,

Stage 3 or 4 Edge Jammer nozzles and reuse your injector bodies and save a bundle of green for other mods. They usually test within 2-3% of each other if you want to pop test them, customers love them!!

(THREAD JACK - SORRY!)

How about these nozzles... What am I looking at to get about 400 RWHP. Stage 4's and a turbo????

Wrong order

If anything your going in the wrong order. Almost any of those mods will put your transmission at risk and double if you tow. Do the transmission first. DW

Oh yea, that's what I said . . . Had the DTT done, spent some $$$ on an Edge Comp & Mach 1. 6s. Went to a dyno event and spun off 387HP & 740TQ. Then the bug dug it's teeth in a bit more. Went with a QD 64/14, Mach 5s and whoo hoo 525HP and 998TQ. Only thing is I can't keep the old peg leg (open end rear - duh!) from spinnin out - waiting for tax return and then the Traxlock goes in. Heading to the Drags this Friday night to see what ol` peg leg can turn the 1/4 in . . . just so I can compare after the Tracklock goes in.

Basically what I'm sayin here is, don't waste your money thinking "I only need the 1. 6 or 2s and some kind of box" Do it once . . . you can always turn the box down or even off, and maybe let off the fuel too -NOT! - ha ha!

From my experience this is good advice. In fact the same advice that I was given, right before I bought smaller injectors and then have since replaced by larger injectors.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
