I have stock Bosch 260 bar KDAL59P6 469 injectors in the 95. They may well be the originals, with 190K miles on them. I got them pop tested; was told the spray pattern was good, and with these results, in bars: Cylinder 1: 255 2: 234.5, shimmed to 248, 3: 255, 4: 241, 5: 248, 6: 241
The FSM says spec is "approximately" 3,822 psi, which is 263.5 bar, (interestingly, higher than the rating stamped on the injectors). The injectors are now 3 to 9 per cent low. Does that count as "approximately"? Anyone know of a more specific tolerance figure? Or put it another way, how close are new ones to spec? The tech seemed to think these numbers were fine, after we fixed the low one, but I'm interested to see what forum members think.
Also, do these numbers suggest anything about how the engine has been running? Kinda like "reading" a spark plug?
