injector problems

Well all my problems started in western IL, about 4 hours from home, on my 1600 mile trip home from college, it was also Friday the 13. I had an injector work its way loose and ended up breaking the relief fuel line that runs between all injectors, it also coated my engine with diesel. I couldn't find one close by so I got my dad to come and get me with a flat bed trailer. Started working on this morning. I then drove an hour, after I was on the phone all morning , for the relief line. I have replaced that line and the copper washer for the injector. No fuel leaks now, but truck is missing bad. The injector is primed, as far as I know. Could the injector be bad? What else should I look for? Thanks alonzo
 
You might want to try taking off the lines to the injectors and making sure the lines, line up straight into the injectors themselves. If one or more are cocked then you might experience a miss which is more pronounced when put in gear.

Geezzz, I hate to do this... ;) but once again mark is right on . .

Bleed the injectors again since you had return line problems you may have air issues... also, the lines do seem to need to be lined up exactly flush with the injector end as you tighten them down.

I had exactly that same problem with one of my injectors and all it took was loosening off the supply tube, slight bending, and repostioning... fixed !!

thanks, I did bleed the injectors again and made sure the inlet lines were line up. It didn't help right then, but when i drove it to the body shop it started acting normal and egts came back up, so I think I'm set now. Insurance is not totalling it, so hopefully i'll get it back soon. Also anybody used injectors from tst, I thinking about running and getting a set. thanks again alonzo
