Injector Puller

Ordered injectors and the tools to replace them last week. However, it appears the injector puller 9010 from SPX is back ordered. I may not get it for weeks. Is there somebody else that carries the injector puller for the 2006 5. 9 CTD. I am suppossed to have the cores returned by the 31st. Hope the DieselStore can extend this.

I have replaced mine twice with out any special tools

Other than a torque wrench.

Just pry real easy on the injector and it will pop right out.

Same as above didn't need any tool for injectors.

I did need tool for injector tubes, had 2 that

wouldn't come out.

After the hold down bolts are removed it is only the o-ring that keeps it in place easy with just a tug. If you have a good grip you can pull it out by hand

It should pull out by hand, but if not, see post #7 of this.

A simple "lady foot" pry bar as shown in Issue 62, p. 98 will work fine; also see issue 51, p. 97.
