Oil Leak

My truck leaks diesel, seems to leak sometimes and not others. It is a small leak, makes a spot on the walk about an inch and a half in diameter. It appears to come from the lower bolt attaching the injector pump, and then runs down the wires to the crankshaft sensor and drips on the walk. I checked the fuel lines and fuel pressure sensor; everything seems to check out fine. Also, the bolt is tight.

I searched the 3rd generation forms but did not find a similar issue. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Can the pump leak here? Suggestions? If I can’t find anything I will head down to the dealer.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Its probably coming from the lower union nut on the high pressure output line. Tightening didn't fix mine, replacement was required.

Is not that uncommon for fittings to crack. Happened to my boss, and some searching revealed it happed to a few others here (2nd gen'rs). Easy/straight-forward fix, but be extremely careful working & troubleshooting the high pressure lines.
