What modifications are done to the "Stock" pump to make it a 230 hp pump?

What are the differences in the "Industrial" pump?

Just looking at options.

I am unsure of the differences between the standard automotive VE, and the 230hp pump, but I do know that many of the industrial VE pumps do not use an AFC device. Lucas CAV pumps are also used on industrial B’s. Industral pumps are designed to run at constant speeds, where acceleration smoke would not be an issue. I would guess that with different emissions laws, they might flow a bit more fuel. As for using the industrial pump on a pickup, I don’t think it would be practical. But if someone has a little too much time on their hands and tries it, let me know how it turns out.

I found two industrial VE's. They had AFC housings and looked identical to what's on the truck. That's why I asked about the industrial pumps. Nobody can tell me what mods are made to the stock pump to turn it into a 230 hp pump?

NASCARMARK?? Not even a couple of hints???

Thanks,

I don't know how much Piers looks at the 1st gen forum anymore, but you might give him a call or send him an email and ask him about it.

I'd love to hear what he says too!

Soory guys I coundn't tell you whats in a 230 hp pump or a industrial pump as I don't have either. I have the same pump that came with my truck when I bought it new. Piers is working his magic on a pump for me right now so keep a eye one my dyno numbers in 2 weeks time. Its experimental but if anyone can get more out of a VE pump he can. ;)

Mark,

Have you done anything besides the "Standard" mods to your pump? I'm just wondering what can be done with the stock pump.
