Injector Question

My Fathers 2003 Truck has 150K on the stock injectors. The only mod is a TST-CR box which is mostly kept on step 1 except for the rare occasion when I get to drive it

How long can the common rail injectors be run before they need to be replaced?

I just had one of mine replaced at 22K.

The dealer says 100k... ..... after that there out of warranty.



Seriously though, lots of guys go for many miles, lots don't. Not much help sorry.

I've got 260K on my 03, inj. have never been out and is still running good, and good mpg's. Put a box on it at 20K, have had 3 diff. boxes on it. I tow pretty heavy most of the time. I have some of Don M. sticks on the way.

I do know that for the 12 valve engines, Cummins reccomends fresh set of Injectors at 100,000 miles and is consider part of 100K tune up.



Has Cummins made any such reccomendations for the CR-Injectors?
