Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Injector Question

Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing the Edge Injectors, Stage 2.

I contacted a Cummins Distributor, and he said he wouldn't replace the injectors unless he also replaced the "boots".

What the heck are the "boots", and why do I need to do this?

I'm not sure what he means by "boots". Maybe the fuel crossover tubes. They are pretty tough & don't often need replacement. You do need good copper washers for the injectors though. They should come with the new set.

Well I didn't either, so I'll just forget about it.
Edge will give me whatever I need most likely.
he was a little PO'ed that I didn't buy them from him anyway, so that may have had something to do with it.
