I have the 370's now but when I'm towing my exhaust temps go thru the roof!

Are there any injectors in between the 215's & 370's for our 12 valve?

Thanks,

Lonnie

What type of air intake are you using???? Might do a search on the Scotty II intake and see what people say about the benefits.

Also how much weight are you towing????

Nothing worthwhile between the 2 sizes. You need to back off on the plate. Slide that puppy back a bit( or get a bigger turbo ):D

Well ok, maybe I could back off the plate a little. It's all the way forward now, but when I backed it off the last time with 215's the power went limp!

I have a Mega Cannon air system & an HX-40 turbo, that's why I thought I could get away with the 370's. I'm pulling a 9000 lb. trailer & when I get to a hill I'm running 34-40 lbs boost & the egt's will peg the meter in nothing flat, but I can pull anything 80+ mph!

My gauge goes to 1500, now I don't let it stay there long, (2-3 seconds) and it's hard to keep it under 1300 when passing someone while towing. But then it's hard to keep in under 80 also. :D

As for the plate # I don't know what it is as it's an ATS plate & they don't number them but claim it will put out 325 hp. with stock injectors.

Lonnie:

I am equipped similar to you as far the 370 inj's etc.

I also tow alot and used to have high EGT' problems.

I installed the "Scotty II" Air Filter along with the

ATS three piece manifold and can tell you that those

two items definitely cut my EGT's by at least 200

degrees!! The new "Scotty II" has two cold air

inlets; one from the cowl and the other from the

"stock" fender hole. I see where you have the

AFE Mega Cannon which IMO is also a real good

filter, but it is still pulling some of the hot under

hood air in.

As the other members said, try sliding the plate

back some and see if that helps.

between injectors

there is a set of injectors between the 215 and the 370 they are 300hp bosch marine injectors they are good for 40- 50 hp increase on a 175 pump (so piers said) I don't know what the 370 are but they sure made a difference on teh bottom end. I just took my 300's out and installed 370's

You prolly cant tow 9000lbs at 80mph up hills and be hammer down unless you want to spend a lot of money on airflow improvemts. A 325hp rated plate with stock injectors is a radical plate not meant for towing I bet. My plate is a #11 which is 285hp with stock injectors and you can see all the other stuff in the sig, but my EGTs towing a 6000lb trailer are not a problem on hills unless I try to increase speed quickly, otherwise it stays about 1100-1200 at 70mph on pretty good hills.

I would have rather installed 275 injectors. But the 370's were a steal.

I think the 370's are good for hot rodin. But seam a little to hot when towing . 275-300 would be sufficent for heavy towing without getting to hot.

LRamey, I don't see in your sig if you've changed your injection pump timing. You should see a reduction in exhaust temps if you advance it a little.

Whoa there Forrest!

I have a set of 300's in the box, ready to ship! If those are Piers 370's, say the word!

I ran the 300's with a # 5 in a 180 pump, and a 35/16, plenty of cool, usable power. 302 hp on the dyno.
