hello everyone, first of all my ez is on the way:D :D :D, Now I have a question about injectors:confused: first what kind come on a stock 2000? I've noticed that some run an ez with DD1's and some use DD2's I think I might want some of these on my truck and are they hard to install and as always will the stock auto hold up. I will try and make my mind up faster on this than I did with the ez Oo. thanks for everyones help on the ez Don

Hello and Welcome,

Will your transmission hold?

With the EZ, yes.

add more power, no.

Add transmission upgrades and you can add more power.

Ron

Edit: injectors start a factory stock, then 275's then stage 1, stage 2, stage 3, stage 4, stage 5, and I beleave super mentals.

I don't think the stock injectors have a HP number. The HP rateings in stock form come from the ECM programing.

The only thing in terms of stock injectors I can add is that the stock injectors on an etc and eth are not the same. the eth come from the factory with smaller injectors and this is why you see more increase from an injector change on the eth than the etc. the stock injectors on the 12v engines did have hp ratings. The 215hp injectors are 12v stocks from when cummins uprated the engine to 215. People with earlier engines have swapped those in as an upgrade.

Good thinking Ted, theres also marine injectors (370) and I think the 275's are actually RV injectors from the cummins pusher RV's with the 275 HP rateing. I guess I was just thinking about the 24 valvers and years 1999 (215HP) and 2000 and later (235HP). Then they throw in the H. O. engines (245HP). Hope it never ends.

Go for it

rrab1, Your choice of injector size/rating is just that, your choice. It will be based on you and your personnality and "intended" use of your truck. I chose the DD2's with the EZ because I felt that was good enough for me and my life, for now that is correct. You will have more power and more smoke, how much depends on the injectors you select. The install is very easy. There are several great threads giving step-by-step instructions and hints if you search. I did mine in the parking lot in well under an hour. Good luck. Remember, it's only money you can always make more. :D :D :D
