All this talk about DD2's, Mach 1. 6's, EDM 1. 5, RV275 (to name but a few :D ) makes a recovering TPI guy ask the question - what do the numbers all mean? Nothing? With a TPI injector, you can get 19 lb/hr, 22 lb/hr, 24 lb/hr, etc. Easy to understand and rate your injector to the motor... ... ... ... ... . but these diesel injectors are not clear (at least to me).

Inquiring rookie minds want to know... ... ... ... ... ... :-laf

Diesel Dynamics Extrude honed injectors: www.dieseldynamics.com

DD1=60hp

DD2=80hp

DD3=100hp

Formula one EDM injectors: www.formula1iesel.com

Mach 1=65hp

Mach 1. 5=85hp

Mach 2=105hp

Mach 3=130hp

Bosch injectors:

Rv275's=40hp

This is a very incomplete list but will give you a starting point. Formula 1 injectors can also be ordered in "half" sizes. I. e. "EDM 2. 4"

Off thread: does 100k/5 year cover trans/drive train?

The right foot has more to do with mileage than the injectors you install. SNOKING

I saw an increase in mileage when I put in my rv275s. Well, after I stopped horsing around as much. ;)

Those are pretty good numbers for 275's and Comp/EZ, wonder what I have with DD1 Jammers and Comp/EZ mode? How much boost are you running. I have my HY set to 28 lbs. SNOKING

I dyno'd that with the Van Aaken box I just took off. I haven't dyno'd with the Comp box yet. I was going to wait until I tap the wire (6k more miles).

I only hit 31 lbs on that dyno run, but when actually driving I can hit about 35 lbs.

Btw, I dyno'd with the box disconnected and got 287 hp. So the box gave me what I thought it did, power wise.

My truck Dynoed 286 on injectors only, (dd3) but that was with a HX-50 and around 25 psi. I could'nt for the life of me spool that bad boy on injectors only. Now with the Comp on, Hit 486 and 57 psi.

Just shows you that you need to get a turbo that suits your power level. Bigger is not always better.

This is good info, but can anyone share additional info like how many holes the injectors have, hole size, or popoff pressure, etc. ?

From PDR site:

DD Stage 1 Jammer 65HP Smoke Low

Great RV injectors for towing and mild horsepower upgrades

DD Stage 2 Jammer 85HP Smoke Low

Can tow with these injectors, more smoke

DD Stage 3 Jammer 100HP Smoke Low to Medium

Can tow with these injectors, similar to stage 2 with more power

DD Stage 4 Jammer 150HP Smoke High

Recommended for twin turbo systems

DD Stage 5 Jammer 175HP Smoke High

Recommended with NOS and twins, competition only

I think hp ratings are vary depending on which version of the ISB you're running. The 245 hp version, strangely, has the smallest standard injectors, so when swapped for bigger sticks one can expect about 15 hp more. Someone correct me if I have that wrong. ;)
