This is what my truck currently has, FASS 95, Edge EZ, and a Smarty, and gauges also ( FP, EGT, Boost ). Stock turbo and stock clutch. I get better than average mileage and the truck tows pretty well. When towing I set Smarty on 3 and the EZ on 1.

Now I'd like to get a set of injectors, and I'm leaning toward the Flux 1's. I like the idea of having the entire injector rebuilt. I want some piece of mind to be able to turn the EZ up a little more and not sweat over the injector reliability so much. I would also like better effciency, as in better spray pattern and atomization. I know I'll probably never recoup the money spent on the sticks with better mileage, but any improvement is good.

I know I'll have to keep the Smarty turned down a little more due to my stock turbo and clutch, but I can handle that. Right now unloaded driving I go with Smarty on 5 and EZ on 1. With the Flux 1's I would like to do EZ on 2 or 3 and Smarty on 1 or 3.

I'd also like to eventually put 500 - 550 hp to the ground, obviously would need a turbo and a clutch.

So with the reasons I want the injectors, do you guys think they're worth the money? Or should I wait till I can afford the turbo and clutch?

Sorry for the rant, and TIA.

So many driving habit variable come into play. I think the stock turbo will get you further than you think. New clutch for sure. I am in the same boat as you on the injectors. I will be going with the Flux 1. 6's. Good performance without sacrificing too much mpg's. I'm doing a stage 1 pump from Floor It diesel as well at the same time. Turbo after that.

I don't know if I'll do anything to the CP3 for quite a long while, I'm thinking at the most an upgraded rail and maybe dual feed line, but that would be after a turbo and clutch.

My driving style is pretty light, sometimes I might goose it pretty good when getting on the freeway, or run a stroker or d-max on the freeway, and then I push it a little when I tow my TT. Other than that I'm pretty easy on it.

The main reason I want the Flux 1's right now is not for high horse power, but a little piece of mind to run a little higher pressure, via the EZ, and better efficiency. I've got 56,000 miles on the stock sticks, about 25,000 of those with the EZ.

So are my reasons for wanting the Flux 1's right now unrealistic? Although I'm sure that once I had the turbo and clutch, the injectors would be next if I didn't get them first.

I put down 512 HP to the rear wheels with just a Smarty, Dynomite Diesel 90HP Injectors, and a 5" Exhaust. That was with a stock intake and turbo.
